Just awhile back, I embarked on an exhilarating adventure at Maligne Canyon in Jasper National Park. As I ventured into the depths of the canyon, the frozen landscape surrounding me took my breath away. The majestic ice falls, cascading from above, created a mesmerizing spectacle.

Eager to capture this incredible moment, I found the perfect spot to take a selfie under the magnificent ice falls. With my heart pounding with excitement, I quickly set up the camera with remote activated on the tripod and carefully positioned myself and snapped the photo. The icy crystals glistened in the sunlight, creating a magical ambiance. It was a truly unforgettable experience, one that will forever be etched in my memories.

I created this wood art from that experience. I wanted to convey a feel being under the ice fall that cold day having the grain directions of the wood mimics the texture of the canyon.
