Mountain Goat

Mountain goats are truly impressive climbers. Their agility and surefootedness on steep and rocky terrain is nothing short of remarkable. I was fortunate enough to witness their incredible skills firsthand while climbing Mount Baldy in Kananaskis Country. As I made my way up the challenging slopes, I spotted a group of these majestic creatures effortlessly scaling the rocky cliffs. Their powerful muscles and sharp hooves allowed them to navigate even the most treacherous paths with ease. It was a sight that left me in awe of nature's marvels. The encounter with these mountain goats served as a reminder of the beauty and resilience of wildlife in the face of challenging environments.

This wood art was inspired from that experience. Though I was not able to capture photographically. I recreated the scene with exact backdrop from the view point where the mountain goat was.
