Mount Baldy, Elbow-Sheep Wildland Provincial Park
Just a mere hour drive from Calgary takes you to this stunningly gorgeous view of Barrier Lake. It takes some effort to climb the scrambling section but do-able for an average hiker to get to the summit. At the summit, the view of the entire lake and surrounding mountain escape will leave you breathless. Mount Baldy Peak is a 2.6 mile out and back trail located near Kananaskis Improvement, Alberta, Canada that features a lake and is rated difficult
I was not able to make to the traverse portion of the climb due to snowy condition. the best time to go is around mid-July to end of September.
